Before you start
- Does trimming lose quality?
- The first attempt is a stream copy: nothing is re-encoded, so quality is identical and it is fast. If the cut point does not line up with a keyframe the start can drift, and in that case it re-encodes automatically.
- Can I remove a section from the middle?
- Yes — the Delete tab takes the range to remove and joins what is left.
- Can I keep several separate ranges?
- The Merge tab takes as many ranges as you like and joins them in order.
